Next up for Duke is Florida State in Tallahassee, and while Duke lost in Durham, most unfortunately, you should remember that Florida State won on a last-second shot after a very tight game. That could easily happen again, or not. Duke has grown up a bit since then.

You have to feel a bit bad for State: after the Duke loss, after feeling persecuted in the face of the Karl Hess, they shoot for the moon. They line up a reunion to honor the 1989 team, featuring Tom Gugliotta and Chris Corchiani, whip the crowd to a fever pitch, and hang in there for the first half…all before succumbing, 86-74.
